The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan hosted a meeting with the media representatives in connection with the 135th anniversary of the National Press, the Ministry's press service told Trend.
The deputy minister of emergency situations Orujali Hajiyev congratulated the journalists on the anniversary. He spoke about the rich traditions, National Leader Heydar Aliyev's historical merits in the development of the Azerbaijani press, and said that the care and attention towards the press is today successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. The deputy minister appreciated the work of the journalists in delivering the activities of the Ministry to the public.
The sector chief of social-political department of the Presidential Administration Vugar Aliyev also made a speech during the meeting.
During the meeting, a group of journalists were awarded Medals for Cooperation for their activities and useful cooperation during Ministry's operations to eliminate consequences of emergency situations.
