Caucasian Muslims Office has prepared a list of mosques, located in the flooding zone, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Sheikh-ul-islam Haji Allahshukur said at the Caucasian Muslims Office Gazi Council today.
He said the list has been submitted to the Emergency Situations Ministry.
"We appealed to the Ministry with the request to take into account carrying over the mosques due to the resettlement the flooding zone's people," Pashazade said.
He didn't disclose the number of mosques in the list.
In early May, floods occurred in 40 districts of Azerbaijan due to the rise of the Kur River. As a result of the disaster, about 20,000 houses were flooded, more than 300 were destroyed, 2,000 became unsafe and 50,000 hectares of cultivated land were left under water.
