"Azerbaijan - Europe" cycling tour within the "Year of Ecology" started in Baku on Saturday.
It is planned to hold Azerbaijan-Europe Cycling Tour with the organization of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, NATO and European economic, commercial and industrial chamber of Azerbaijan from Aug.28 to Sept.6, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov told Trend on Saturday.
"33 amateur cyclists will compete in "Azerbaijan - Europe" cycling tour. Tour begins in Baku and finish in Ganja. Local environmentalists, diplomats, cyclists, and foreigners will attend the event. Participators will overcome 50 km per day", Azimov said.
Deputy FM said that the tour will be held annually.
