A new state program on youth policy is currently being developed in Azerbaijan, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov told Trend today.
"The ministry is preparing the new policy to meet modern requirements," he said.
The ministry will take into account the basic needs of youths by preparing and discussing the draft policy with various organizations, Rahimov said.
"State programs do not repeat each other in Azerbaijan, and they reflect the government's priorities during a given period," he added.
Rahimov said the program will run from four to six years.
The previous state program lasted from 2005 to 2009.
