Baku Court of Appeal decided to return a criminal case of chief editor, who is under arrest, to the court of first instance, the Court told Trend.
Sept. 30, the Baku Court of Appeal held a hearing on the imprisoned journalist Eynulla Fatullayev's appeal.
The journalist filed a complaint against Baku's Garadagh District Court's verdict, which contains charges related to drugs. Fatullayev required acquittal in respect to him, and reimburse the caused damage.
Garadagh District Court decided to make supplements and notes in record of evidence of the meeting and returned the case to the court of first instance.
Fatullayev was arrested April 20, 2007 and sentenced to 8.5 years. He was accused of calling for terrorism, inciting ethnic hatred and tax evasion.In December 2009, about 0.223 grams of heroin was found in Fatullayev's shoes and jacket.
