Azerbaijani media reps meet with founder of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (PHOTO)

Azerbaijani media representatives met with the founder of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Rauf Denktas, during their visit to the country, the Azerbaijani Press Council reported.
The visit was organized with the financial support of the Azerbaijani Presidential State Support Fund for Media Development within the council's "International Media Experience Study and Application" project.
The delegation met with Denktas on the first day of their visit. Later, they held meetings with the Kipr newspaper, the KTV television channel, the Tourism Ministry and Yakın Dogu University.
The visit will last until Nov. 16 and aims to familiarize Azerbaijani media reps with local media. The reps will study the situation in terms of teaching journalism at the country's universities.
The Azerbaijani delegation includes the fund's executive director, Vugar Safarli, the council's deputy chairman, Mushfig Alasgarli, Yeni Azerbaijan Editor Hikmat Babaoglu, Iki Sahil Chief Editor Vugar Rahimzade, Azerbaijan Deputy Editor Zeynal Zeynalov, Olaylar CEO Yunus Oguz, Trend CEO Ilgar Huseynov, Express founder Mushfig Safiyev, Baki Khabar Chief Editor Aydin Guliyev, Paritet Chief Editor Jamaleddin Guliyev, Turkustan Chief Editor Aqil Jamal, Bizim Yol Chief Editor Bahaddin Gaziyev, SES Chief Editor Bahruz Guliyev and Oxu Mani Chief Editor Emin Akhundov.
