Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva will participate in an international forum against human trafficking to be held in Luxor, Egypt on Dec. 8-17, parliament reported.
The forum chaired by Egyptian First Lady Suzanne Mubarak and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon is dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Palermo Convention. The event will be attended by prominent political figures, including U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Pashayeva will speak at the forum, which aims to consolidate efforts to combat transnational crime and human trafficking.
During the visit, Pashayeva visit one of the oldest libraries in the world - the Alexandria Library - upon Egyptian Senator Ismail Serageldi's invitation. She will also hold a series of meetings at Alexandria University. Pashayeva will also participate in several events in Cairo.
During the meetings, she will address the issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the Khojaly genocide, and distribute the relevant materials, books and movies.
