Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) hosted a presentation of a book 'Azerbaijan since independence' by a famous American professor at Johns Hopkins University, an expert on Central Asia and Caucasus Svante Cornell, a source at the Academy told Trend on Tuesday.
ADA rector Hafiz Pashayev addressed the event. According to him, Cornell has long conducted studies on the region. His first book covered the entire Caucasus, and his last work is devoted only to Azerbaijan. According to Pashayev, Cornell's new book will be an interesting source for politicians, researchers and wide audience in the U.S. who are interested in Azerbaijan.
According to author Svante Cornell, this is the first presentation of his book and holding it in the ADA assumes a special significance for him.
Cornell's book reflects the information about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, society, economy, foreign policy, internal political processes in Azerbaijan.
