On Dec. 16, Tbilisi hosted a charity event conducted upon the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. As part of this action with the support of the Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia and the Azerbaijani-Georgian Business Association, a New Year party was conducted for children deprived of parental care at children's home in Tbilisi.
On behalf of the Foundation, holiday gifts in the form of school supplies and sweets were presented to the children, a source in the Association told Trend. Books were donated to the library of the house.
The event was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy, the leadership of the Association, AZPROMO, SOCAR, AZERSUN, Caspian Credo, Azerinshaat, Saubersauto and other companies.
The event was part of the action taking care of children deprived of parental care. In 2010, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation had conducted a charity event at the house on International Children's Day - June 1.
The first ladies of Azerbaijan and Georgia have initiated an exchange in August, during which the children of Georgia and Azerbaijan had the opportunity to visit neighboring countries and become acquainted with nature, culture, cuisine and history of the country.
