The criminal case filed against the soldier,s who committed an armed attack on a petrol station in the Agstafa region of Azerbaijan, will be transferred tomorrow to the military prosecutor office, Agstafa Region Prosecutor Mubariz Najafov told Trend.

After the collection of certain information on the criminal offense and completion of certain investigative procedures, the criminal proceedings will be transferred to the Gazakh Military Prosecutor's Office, Najafov said.

The detainees, in respect of who the arrest was elected as a preventive measure, tomorrow will take part in the trial, Najafov said.

The Junior Sergeant of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's Military Unit N, Sahib Askerov, and soldiers Senan Mehdiyev and Ulduz Agayev committed an armed attack on the filling station owned by Mikayil Asadov in the Girli village in the Agstafa region.

They killed operator Mammad Mammadov working at the filing station with automatic weapons.

Najafov said the crime was committed for pecuniary gain. According to him, Mammadov was a fellow villager of one of the assailants, and there was no conflict between them.

He said the criminal case was filed under the Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. Najafov added that the investigation may find them guilty on the article on willful abandonment of a military unit, robbery and other articles of the Penal Code.
