The number of cases of outstanding loans increased in the Azerbaijani Supreme Court.

The number of claims, with respect to outstanding loans, increased in the Judicial Board in 2010 compared to 2009, the Supreme Court told Trend.

The vast majority of civil cases, which are under the consideration of the Board of the Supreme Court, are related to the division of property.

Cases relating to the divorce process constitute the smallest share of them. Claims related to the dissolution of marriages are considered in first instance and appellate courts and usually do not reach the Supreme Court.

Last year, the number of cases considered by the College of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court increased by 6.4 percent compared to the previous year.

The court reviewed 5,354 cases in 2010 and 4,862 in 2009.
