The appeal of the chairman of the Azerbaijani Islamic Party will be considered tomorrow.
A hearing on Movsum Samedov's appeal will be held in the Baku Court of Appeal presided by Judge Amir Bayramov on Jan. 25, attorney Anar Gasimov told Trend.
Samedov is accused of the violent seizure of power and the illegal purchase of firearms, as well as other crimes.
A preventive measure in the form of an arrest for three months was made this week in respect to Chairman of the illegal Islamic Party of Azerbaijan Movsum Samedov on Jan.20.
A criminal case was filed. The investigation is udnerway.
The lawyer said that he will deliver a petition to transfer Samedov from the prison under the Head Department for Combating Organised Crime of the Interior Ministry to the isolation ward in Baku.
The Chairman of the Islamic Party was detained on January 7.
