Germany founded the Turkish-Azerbaijani society.
The coordination center of the Turkish-Azerbaijani society held the founding congress of the Turkish-Azerbaijani society, the press-service of the State Committee on Diaspora said.
Azerbaijani Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Germany Perviz Shahbazov, embassy staff, a former member of the Bundestag Hakki Keskin, honorary president of the Congress of European Azerbaijanis Bahaddin Kaya, an employee of the State Committee, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora attended the founding congress.
The main purpose of creating the society is to strengthen relations between the Azerbaijani diaspora in Germany and Turkish communities and the further development of friendly relations between them.
The society's charter was discussed at the meeting.
A former member of the Bundestag, Chairman of the Turkish-Azerbaijani Society in Germany Hakki Keskin was elected chairman of the society. The executive director of the Coordinating Center of Azerbaijanis in Germany Samira Pattser-Ismailova and honorary president of the Congress of European Azerbaijanis were elected deputies chairman.
