A number of prisoners detained in Azerbaijan's Gobustan prison, complained to the Ombudsman on the leadership.
Members of the Group of the National Preventive Mechanism visited the prison under the orders of ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova, the Ombudsman's office told Trend.
Some prisoners complained about rude treatment and pressure from management and staff of the prison, poor medical care.
The Ombudsman wrote a letter to Minister of Justice to resolve the deficiencies, to carry out measures prescribed by law and to inform the ombudsman about the results.
They visited the prison two days. The Ombudsman recommended to remove deficiencies and violations and take appropriate actions.
Last visit was carried out to check the implementation of the recommendations of the Ombudsman to remove the violations.
