Baku will host the World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue on April 7-9,Azerbaijani Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva said at a round-table discussion on the " Interfaith harmony in building civil society: a dialogue and a peaceful life".

"One of the forum sessions will be devoted to dialogue between the world religions. The forum will be attended by representatives of all regions of the world," Mammadaliyeva said.

She said the Azerbaijani nation is an example for its qualities of tolerance.

"We want NGOs to pay more attention to this topic in their activities," Mammadaliyeva said.

A special project on the theme "Cultural diversity - our cultural unity" will be implemented, she said.

"It is planned to hold seminars on national and cultural solidarity, training for cultural workers, publishing books that reflect the cultural diversity, and conducting research on intercultural dialogue in the regions inhabited by ethnic minorities and indigenous peoples," Mammadaliyeva said.
