Baku hosted conference on "Copyright, cultural rights and human rights: Armenian hypocrisy" on copyright.
The event was organized by the Copyright Agency jointly with the Ombudsman Office on the occasion of the World Book and Copyright Day on April 23 and - World Intellectual Property Day on April 26. The conference was attended by the Copyright Agency Chairman Kamran Imanov, Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova, MPs and experts.
Imanov said that one of the main directions of the agency's activity is exposing Armenian lies, making consistent, professional and systematic efforts in this direction. So far, various documents related to this issue have been prepared and sent to the relevant international organizations. He said that significant work is underway in Azerbaijan to protect intellectual property. A state program to protect the copyright for 2011-2014 has been developed and will be approved in the coming days.
He said a book titled "Musical Instruments" and "Fictional story (Armenian genocide)" has been published in the Azeri, English, Russian and Turkish languages with the support of the Agency.
Suleymanova said reforms have been carried out in the sphere of human rights in Azerbaijan.
Other participants of the event also condemned the misappropriation of the Azerbaijani people's cultural heritage by Armenians. It was stressed that one should continue serious efforts to expose such actions of the Armenians.
