Miami-Dade County, which includes the city of Miami (Florida), recognized May 28 as the National Day of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC) reported.
The county also recognized Nagorno Karabakh as a part of Azerbaijan. It stressed the special role of AAC as an organization representing the Azerbaijani community in Florida, a statement said.
