Record low temperature, -11 degrees below zero was observed in Baku at 6:00-7:00 in the morning of Feb.8, the Bureau of Hydro-meteorological Forecasts of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Azerbaijani Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry told Trend on Wednesday.
According to 110-year meteorological observations, the lowest temperature was recorded in Baku in 1969 - 10 degrees below zero.
Strong wind and frosty weather will continue on Feb.8, the north-east wind will not diminish, and sometimes will even intensify. Air temperature is expected at 4 - 6 degrees below zero in the afternoon, in the evening - 10 degrees below zero.
Snowy and frosty weather will prevail in Azerbaijani regions during the day.
Tomorrow, on Feb.9, snow is expected in Baku at times, north-west wind will weaken, forecasters reported. Air temperature on the night of Feb.9 will hit 8-13 degrees below zero, during the day 0 - 3 degrees below zero, the Bureau said.
