Processing from last experience, the "Bid Book" for the Olympic Games in Baku in 2020 was published in a better form, the executive director of the national organizing committee "Olympic Games-2020 in Baku" Kenul Nurullayeva told media on Monday.
"This book compared to that one prepared for the Olympic Games in Baku in 2016 is done more professionally. The Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) named the reasons for non-election of Baku as a candidate to hold the Olympic Games in 2016. We have prepared and published a book on a professional level, having eliminated the shortcomings", she added.
The Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee proposed Baku for hosting Summer Olympic Games-2016, but Rio de Janeiro was chosen for these events.
"Bid Book" gives the broad information on the Olympic infrastructure, which will be constructed in Baku for hosting the Olympic Games, Nurullayeva said. The book gives the information not only on the sports in Azerbaijan, but also on its transport, tourist and other infrastructural capabilities, she added.
"Bid book" will be presented to the International Olympic Committee on February 14 in Lausanne. IOC will study the information within two months, after that IOC will make a proper statement.
The national organizing committee was established in Azerbaijan in connection with the nomination of Baku to host the Olympics-2020.
Madrid, Rome, Tokyo, Istanbul, as well as Qatar's capital Doha have also been nominated for hosting the Summer Olympics-2020.
Their first presentation must be held in February 2012.
