The Azerbaijani border guards have detained 274 people who were wanted by the police in February-March, the Azerbaijani State Border Service told Trend on Tuesday.
The detainees were transferred to the law enforcement agencies.
The border guards prevented 65 violations of the state border and arrested 98 people.
The border guards arrested 79 people when crossing checkpoints with faked document.
Some 24 people were detained in 12 cases for violating "green" border regime. Some 76 individuals were detained in 31 cases for violating Caspian Sea border regime.
The border guards also seized more than 32 kilograms of narcotic substances from trafficking in February-March.
The border guards also detained smuggling worth over 1.420.7 million manat in 111 cases during the reporting period.
