A member of the Azerbaijani Olympic team, Sharif Sharifov, participating in men's 84 kg freestyle wrestling, has today become the first of the London Olympics, defeated in the final Haime Espaniel in the stubborn fight and thus winning the second gold for our team.
At first period he wins 6:1 and 2:0 at the second period.
Earlier Sharif Sharifov successfully performed in the eighth finals. He defeated Ibrahim Bolukbashi and went to the quarterfinals of the Olympics.
In the quarter finals Sharif Sharifov also defeated his rival from USA and went to the semifinals.
Then, the Azerbaijani wrestler defeated his iranian rival and passed the final of Olympics.
Till this moment Azerbaijan had 1 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals.
