Azerbaijan won the right to hold World Chess Cup in 2015 and the 42th World Chess Olympiad in 2016.
Decision fot holding these cahampionships in Baku was taken at the General Assembly of the World Chess Federation in Istanbul, official website of the FIDE reported.
The other two application by Albena (Bulgaria) and Tallin (Estonia) were not approved.
