"Oil, Gas and Media" conference has finished in Baku today. It was financed by SOCAR, International Press Institute.
The conference brought together the experts, scientists in the field of oil, media representatives from 27 countries, including such countries as the U.S, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Nigeria and South Africa.
The main sponsor of the event was SOCAR. CE and such companies as "Open Oil", IREX, "The Trans Adriatic Pipeline" (TAP), "Oil, Gas and Energy Law", "Oil and Gas Eurasia Magazine", "Upstream Newspaper and Worldoils " were the partners.
International Eurasia Press Fund, Center for Economic and Social Development, "Azeri Press" (APA) and Trend news agencies were also partners.
The representatives of the world's leading media organizations like Reuters, Financial Times, Al-Jazeera, Forbes, The Dallas Morning News attended the conference.
The conference focused on the themes "Oil and freedom of the press - the tower in the polluted waters?", "Risk and reward," "My country is rich in oil, but why am I so poor? ", "Baku: the capital of black gold" were discussed at the conference.
