Funds, allocated for diabetics, will be increased by 3 times in Azerbaijan.
The draft budget for 2013 will provide funding in the amount of 33.7 million manat for the "State Program on Diabetes Mellitus", which is 21.5 million manat, or 2.8 times more than in 2012.
For the first time it is planned to allocate four million manat to treat people with multiple sclerosis in the section on health care costs in the budget of 2013.
The project also plans to allocate 25.8 million manat (9.8 percent more than in 2012) for the activities for the treatment of chronic renal failure, for measures to hereditary blood diseases hemophilia and thalassemia - 21.2 million (for 2, 9 percent more than in 2012), the provision of basic cancer treatments of cancer patients - 25.1 million (by 72.4 percent more than in 2012), to finance a program of activities to combat tuberculosis - five million (42.9 percent more than in 2012).
