According to the newspaper, some drastic strychnine poison was revealed in the samples taken for analysis, which led to Ozal's death.

Turkish Prosecutor's Office started the necessary actions for exhumation on Sept.17, despite the fact that the ex-president's family is against it.

Turkish Prosecutor's Office resumed the investigation of causes of Ozal's death, who died in 1993 under mysterious circumstances. Heart failure is still considered as official version of his death.
