Azerbaijani, Polish universities sign eight agreements

Azerbaijani and Polish universities have signed eight agreements, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to Euronest PA, MP Elkhan Suleymanov said at a press conference held following the Azerbaijani delegation’s visit to Poland today.

Azerbaijani and Polish universities have signed eight agreements, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to Euronest PA, MP Elkhan Suleymanov said at a press conference held following the Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Poland today.

Ten official documents were signed and nine meetings were held with Polish officials within the visit.

"Poland has passed a way of integration into the EU," Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev said. "All Europe's market elements exist there. This is a country operating on the principles of a market economy. Therefore, from this point of view, the Polish experience is important for Azerbaijan."

Azerbaijan and Poland are cooperating in the energy sector, the minister said.
Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov said that a meeting was held with Polish Minister of Science and Education within the visit when useful discussions took place.

"We have invited the Polish Minister of Science and Education to Azerbaijan," Mardanov said.

Moreover, a working group on the further development of relations in the sphere of science and education was created between Azerbaijan and Poland.

Poland takes great interest in Azerbaijan, the minister added, stressing the importance of the twinning project implementation for Azerbaijani and Polish schools.
