Azerbaijanis prefer to go to Turkey during Novruz holiday, chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTA) Nahid Bagirov told Trend today.
He said that Azerbaijanis also prefer to visit the UAE, Singapore, Thailand and European countries during the holiday.
New flights on Qatar Airways has created the opportunities for trips in different directions, Bagirov said.
AzTA chairman also stressed that most Iranian tourists arrived in Azerbaijan during Novruz holiday.
Gabala, Sheki and Gusar regions were among the most visited regions in Azerbaijan, Bagirov said.
March 20-27 were non-working days in Azerbaijan in connection with Novruz holiday.
