Yarat! Contemporary Art Space together with the Goethe Institute presented a lecture by Alexandr Schwartz, executive design director and 'David Chipperfield Architects' firm partner.
"Future of the museum design and architecture" will be the topic of the lecture.
Alexander Schwartz has many architectural awards, he's the author of many major projects, including the James Simon Gallery on Museum Island in Berlin, the Museum of Literature in Marbach and Folkvanga Museum in Essen.
He has been teaching for the past several years, and is a visiting professor of the Muenster School of Architecture.
He started his cooperation with 'David Chipperfield Architects' company in the London office in 1996 and continued in the Berlin office of the firm in 1998. Today, the company's offices are located in London, Berlin, Milan and Shanghai.
The company is simultaneously implementing the cultural and commercial projects, while working in the private and the public sector.
The list of implemented projects includes the buildings of museums, libraries, private apartments and houses, hotels, offices and shopping centers.
The projects developed by company's specialists won more than fifty professional contests and gained RlBA, RF AC and AlA awards, as well as RlBA Stirling Prize (2007) and the EU special award in Contemporary Architecture.
