The European Union is always ready to work together with Azerbaijan to ensure the social rights of women in the labor market, charge d`affaires of the EU delegation in Azerbaijan Toralf Pilz said at the fourth Congress of Azerbaijani Women today.
Pilz appreciated the actions taken for the empowerment of women in the workplace in Azerbaijan.
"An Azerbaijani woman can work and achieve success in all areas - from parliament and state agencies to business," he said. "We will continue pinning great hopes on the protection of the rights and health of women. The EU will give more support for promoting women's positions in the leadership and the political arena."
He also added that EU works closely with many organizations worldwide in the sphere of protecting the women's rights. The EU cooperates with the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women and improve their social status.
