During the 55th Venice Biennale, the reigning Prince of Monaco Albert II familiarized with Azerbaijan's exhibition hall organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a message of the Foundation said on Thursday.

It should be noted that Azerbaijani exhibition hall 'Ornaments', which is located in the XIV century Lezze Palace in Campo Santo Stefano, was opened on June 1.

The exhibition hall presents Azerbaijan's national cultural heritage thanks to six pieces of art by contemporary artists of Azerbaijan - Rashad Alekperov, Fakhriyya Mammadova, Chingiz, Sanan Alesgerov, Bunutay Hagverdiyev and Farid Rasulov.

Different expositions of Azerbaijan, which has participated in the Venice Biennale since 2007, cause visitors' interest each time. The current exhibition hall of Azerbaijan entered the top five exhibition halls of 88 participating countries.

Prince of Monaco, Albert II underlined that the exhibition hall, under the motto 'Ornaments', has left a big impression on him about the history and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.

According to him, such exhibitions play an important role in promoting the country.

Prince Albert II visited only Azerbaijan's exhibition of all national pavilions. He said that the 'Ornament' installation, made of wooden planks, emphasizing the identity and uniqueness of different peoples' cultures by using the language of symbols of East and West, greatly impresses visitors.

Prince of Monaco stressed that along with an ancient history, Azerbaijan's contemporary art has been recognized in the world.

He added that such projects are very important for greater convergence of different peoples.

Albert II said that he is also interested in carrying out such projects in Monaco, which are promoting the Azerbaijani culture.

It should be recalled that Azerbaijan's National Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale will run until November 24.
