A group exhibition by the participants of documentary photography workshop will open on October 28 at "Natavan Gallery".
This project was curated by prominent Russian photographers Oksana Yushko and Arthur Bondar within the framework of YARAT's educational program. An exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic and Bank Technique.
An exhibition will help to summarize a week-long workshop by Oksana Yushko and Artur Bondar who have a history of executing projects in collaboration with some of the world's leading news agencies and magazines including "Washington Post", "Le Monde", "Financial Times", "Guradian", "Wall Street" и "Stern".

Icheri Sheher... Inner City... A city enclosed within the walls of an ancient fortress and a city hidden in our souls ... This place is filled with colors and sounds that bring our souvenirs to life... The streets and building resonate with bitter sweet memories... We all possess a city of our own that is dear to us... We all have this personal attitude to the urban landscape.

All 18 participants of this workshop have tried to discover the city of Baku that doesn't lend itself so easily to a stranger's eyes. This city only lives in our imagination.

This group exhibition is the first collaborative project by YARAT non-commercial Organization that supports contemporary Azerbaijani art locally and abroad since 2011, and "Natavan Gallery" that was founded this year as a platform for showcasing both traditional and contemporary art. The gallery currently offers a broad selection of works by renowned Azerbaijani artists and is planning to host exhibitions, artist talks and workshops in future.
