The UEFA's decision to hold four games of the European Championship 2020 in Baku pleased everyone, the AFFA President Rovnag Abdullayev said Sept.19.
Abdullayev congratulated on this occasion all the football fans of the country.
"The fact that Baku was among the 13 most developed cities of Europe, holding of the influential games of the tournament of the continent in the capital is a significant event in the sporting life of the country, it is the success of each of us, and I believe that it will contribute to the development of sports," the president of the AFFA said. "Conduction of such an influential sports tournament as the European Championship for us is the result of a successful sports policy of President Ilham Aliyev. I congratulate all football fans and dear President on this momentous occasion once again."
