The Azerbaijani defense ministry has confirmed the fact of detaining the officers of the Main Military Inspection, filing a criminal case against them and launching the investigation in the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General's Office, the Azerbaijani defense ministry told Trend July 29.
As for the information spread by the media about the representatives of the Main Military Inspection, the defense ministry said that upon the ministry's instructions, the investigation was conducted to reveal gross offenses committed by the representatives of the inspection.
The collected files were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan to take measures in accordance with the law.
