Azerbaijan has appointed acting head of Ministry of Communications and High Technologies.
Iltimas Mammadov, the first deputy minister of the ministry has been appointed as the country's Minister of Communications and High Technologies, the ministerial advisor Mushfig Amirov has told Trend.
Previously, the minister's post was held by Ali Abbasov. He was dismissed from the post upon the decree of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In its activities, the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies is guided by Azerbaijan's constitution, laws, the decrees and orders by the president of Azerbaijan, the decisions and orders by the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as by international agreements, to which Azerbaijan is a party, and by its own statute.
Expenditures for maintenance and work of the ministry are financed with help of Azerbaijan's state budget and other sources envisaged in legislation. The ministry is located in Baku.
