Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 7

Identities of four more Azerbaijani oilmen, whose bodies were found in the sea Dec. 7, have been established.

Samir Mailov, Fakhraddin Guliyev, Habil Isgandarov and Mikayil Babayev are among those killed as a result of fire on the platform #10 of the offshore field Gunashli, Trend has learnt from the Sabunchu Branch of the Association of Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy.

The association's Sabunchu Branch also said that they earlier received the bodies of two victims - Fuad Taghiyev and Agha Mahmudov.

In total, the branch received the bodies of seven killed in the fire on the Gunashli offshore platform.

A fire broke out on the offshore platform #10 of SOCAR's Gunashli field on Dec. 4, as a strong storm damaged an underwater high-pressure gas pipeline.

As many as 33 people were rescued in an ensuing large-scale operation.

Some 23 oil workers are currently listed as missing.

Earlier, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev decreed to create a state commission tasked to step up the search and rescue operations, to establish the causes of the incident, and to take urgent measures to address the tragedy's consequences.

Prime Minister Artur Rasizade has been named the head of the commission.
