Director of the Data Processing Center (DPC) at Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, Nail Mardanov and his deputy Nazim Madatov were removed from office.
Elnar Asadov, who currently executes the duties of the DPC head, was appointed the DPC deputy head, the ministry told Trend Jan. 11.
DPC was established in 1974. All the structural units of the Azerbaijani Communications and High Technologies Ministry are connected to the DPC network. Registries of electronic services and government information resources are also maintained on the DPC servers.
DPC renders services for the design and operation of billing systems, network management of AzDataCom, and issues electronic signatures.
DPC's activities also include the creation of the electronic government infrastructure and providing data environment for use of e-services via the electronic services portal (e-gov.az).
