The new logo and brand of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games were presented in Baku May 12.
Baku will host the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games on May 12-22, 2017.
During the presentation, it was noted that the logo has been prepared by a group of Azerbaijani designers.
The logo reflects the history, heritage and culture of the Islamic countries.
The Islamic Solidarity Games is a multinational, multi-sport event. The Games involve the elite athletes of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The first Islamic Solidarity Games was held in 2005 in Saudi Arabia.
The second event, originally scheduled to take place in October 2009 in Iran, and later re-scheduled for April 2010, was cancelled after a dispute arose between Iran and the Arab World over the logos.
The 3rd Islamic Solidarity Games was held in Palembang, Indonesia from September 22 to October 1, 2013.
