Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission plans to prepare and distribute special brochures among all participants of the referendum.
Therefore, participants will be able to get acquainted with the draft referendum act, Head of Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov said Aug. 4 at the commission’ meeting.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree July 18 on submitting the draft Referendum Act "On Amendments to the Constitution of Azerbaijan” to the Constitutional Court.
The Azerbaijani Constitutional Court approved the draft amendments to the country’s constitution at a session July 25. The referendum on amendments to Azerbaijan’s constitution was scheduled for Sept. 26.
Issues related to the preparation of final protocols of election (referendum) commissions on the voting results, amount, text, form, rules of preparation of ballots and text, form, amount, and the preparation of notifications of voters about the place and time of the voting were discussed at the meeting and the corresponding decisions were made.
