The International Judges’ Courses on Rhythmic Gymnastics of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) have started in Baku.
The courses will be held in Azerbaijan’s capital on Jan. 26-30.
Addressing the opening of the courses, FIG representative Eunice Lebre welcomed its participants, introduced the members of the organizing committee and thanked the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF).
“I would like to thank the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for the excellent organization and wish success to judges,” said Lebre.
AGF Secretary General Farid Gayibov also addressed the event.
He welcomed the course participants and wished them success.
“These courses are being held for the first time in Azerbaijan. The FIG Intercontinental Judges’ Courses were also held for the first time here the last week,” noted Gayibov. “You will have a very difficult week, but I hope you will also be able to find time to enjoy the sights of Baku.”
Fifty-eight judges and 17 federations are taking part in the courses, with 20 judges representing Azerbaijan.
