First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has congratulated the Azerbaijani people’s writer Anar on his 80th birthday.
“Dear Anar, I sincerely congratulate you, our classic and outstanding writer, who has exceptional merits in the development of Azerbaijani literature, on your 80th birthday, and convey to you my best wishes,” Mehriban Aliyeva said in her congratulatory letter.
“Preservation of the purity of the Azerbaijani language as one of the main features of your works and the creation of works in a simple Azerbaijani language reflect your love for this language,” reads the letter.
“Along with literary activity, you actively participate in the socio-political life of Azerbaijan,” the letter reads. “Wisdom, patriotism and principled position, demonstrated by you, play the role of an example for many people today. It is no coincidence that you were awarded the highest awards of our state.”
