South Korean athletes, taking part at FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup, have great impression of Baku and the tournament, Ambassador of South Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Tong Op told Trend.
“I met with the athletes. They told me that they are impressed with the hospitality of Baku. They said that everything is wonderful and they have no difficulties,” the ambassador said.
He also noted that it is his first time at Baku's National Gymnastics Arena.
“I am very grateful to Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation for invitation. It is the first time I am in this wonderful stadium. Also I want to underline that it is a very impressive tournament,” he said.
FIG Artistic Gymnastics Individual Apparatus World Cup is being held on March 14-17 at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku and brings together the strongest gymnasts from 41 countries.
The competition is important for athletes who want to get to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 2020.
