As part of the visit to the USA, on March 29, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with Alexandre Zouev, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Rule of Law and Security Institutions, Trend reports March 29 citing Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.
During the meeting, the activities of Azerbaijan within the UN, as well as the participation of our peacekeepers in various missions, including their contribution to the maintenance of international peace and security were highly appreciated. The sides also discussed the prospects for the participation of our servicemen in peacekeeping operations.
