The TourStat Analytical Agency has created the ranking of the best cities in the CIS countries for tourists to visit during the May holidays in 2019, Trend reports.
Russian tourists prefer to visit Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kazakhstan among the CIS countries and neighboring countries during May holidays.
The top 10 cities of the CIS countries among tourists in May 2019 are Baku (Azerbaijan), Minsk (Belarus), Nur-Sultan (capital of Kazakhstan, former Astana), Yerevan (Armenia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), Chisinau (Moldova), Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and Ashgabat (Turkmenistan).
According to TourStat, in May tourists stay in the cities of the CIS countries for 3-5 days.
Tourists spend approximately $60-120 per day for food and accommodation during the trips to the CIS countries.
Tourists prefer to visit Baku for shopping.
