On Dec. 6, 2019, PwC’s local and regional tax team provided a workshop on Innovative Co-operative Compliance in Azerbaijan for the employees of the Tax Authority.
The workshop was led and moderated by Eelco Van Der Enden, Partner of PwC Netherlands and Kuralay Baisalbayeva, Tax and Reporting Strategy Manager of PwC Netherlands, who are initiators of the “Horizontal Monitoring” concept in more than 32 countries.
The PwC Azerbaijan team included leading tax experts Arif Guliyev, Elnur Mammadov, Farhad Gardashov and Sevinj Bainvel.
The session was attended by more than 20 Tax Authority representatives from different departments.
The purpose of the workshop was to share the methodology of the Horizontal Monitoring that is to design and implement a sustainable, operationally functioning and advanced, technology-enabled compliance system within long term strategic objective.
