BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. A resident of Azerbaijan's Lankaran district Elgun Eyvazov, born in 1986, was detained during violation of the state border from Iran in the direction of Azerbaijan on June 21, at 01:30 (GMT +4), as a result of joint operational-search activities carried out by employees of the State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
At 07:00 the same day, a citizen of Afghanistan Amir Majid (born in 1995) was detained on the territory of the Goytapa border detachment of the Border Troops under the State Border Service during violation of the state border from Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Operational and investigative measures on the above facts are ongoing.
Previously, citizens of Afghanistan Asadziya Hevad, Abdulbasid Feyzi and Mutullah Habibi who violated the state border from Iran in the direction of Azerbaijan were detained as a result of operational activities carried out on June 2 on the territory of the Lankaran border detachment of the Border Troops under the State Border Service.
