BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The Children's Festival will be held at Heydar Aliyev Center Park on June 1, International Children's Day, Trend reports.
The Children's Festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Ministry of Science and Education, offers a range of entertainment options tailored to the interests of children of various age groups, providing them with opportunities to showcase their talents and enjoy their leisure time productively.
At the festival, the Center's park will feature themed zones offering a variety of engaging and educational programs, making children the focal point of the event.
Participants at the Children's Festival will include children of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation, children from Baku orphanages, and children with Down syndrome.
A designated stage will host a concert program featuring performances by talented young individuals, including the "Azeri incileri" dance group, the "Jujalarim" song and dance ensemble from the Children and Youth Development Center, students from institutions under the Social Services Agency, the "Sama" dance ensemble, the "Tabassum" children's musical theater, the "Zirve" dance ensemble, as well as members of Child and Youth Development Center No. 3 and Children's Art School No. 3.
The ecological zone, established by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the EcoSphere Social Ecological Center, will host educational programs for children in conjunction with the “Green World Solidarity Year” and the upcoming COP29 event. Activities include roundtable discussions, quizzes, and interactive games on climate change and environmental monitoring, presented in the pre-COP29 format of a conference. Environmental masterclasses titled “Second Life for Waste” will be conducted, showcasing the role of green energy startups, as well as demonstrations featuring drones and robots in environmental protection efforts.
Additionally, to promote sports and healthy lifestyles among youth, the park will feature sports-related zones. The Azerbaijan Table Tennis Federation will organize table tennis training sessions and competitions for children. Chess competitions, football masterclasses, and opportunities to showcase skills and abilities will also be available.
Young visitors will have the chance to transform into their beloved characters through the face art zone, where they can decorate themselves as various cartoon characters.
Animated characters will lead children on enchanting adventures, immersing them in a world of fairy tales and entertainment.
In the street art area, children can unleash their creativity by drawing pictures on the asphalt. The Azerbaijan Automobile Federation will conduct traffic rule workshops for kids, along with a miniature car rally within the Heydar Aliyev Center park.
Furthermore, the Baku Book Center and the Children's Library named after F. Kocharli will host author meetings and reading sessions, fostering a love for literature among children.
Children will embark on a thrilling adventure at the archaeological site, engaging in simulated searches and uncovering various models of archaeological artifacts buried beneath the sand for study.
In the Safari Tour zone, children will journey into the animal kingdom, encountering models of wild animals and participating in interactive games to learn more about them.
Additionally, a dedicated Playstation zone will cater to the entertainment needs of young visitors.
On International Children's Day, children's health will be prioritized, with Liv Bona Dea Hospital offering free eye examinations in the park.
Overall, Heydar Aliyev Center Park will transform into an enchanting and creative space for children to enjoy unforgettable moments throughout the day.
