According to the information, the winners of the next awards in fencing competitions will be determined today.
Azerbaijani fencer Anna Bashta has also started to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Bashta started her fight from the 1/16 finals. Her first opponent was Chinese athlete Yang Hengyu, whom she defeated with a score of 15:9.
She met with four-time Olympic Games winner Olga Kharlan (Ukraine) in the 1/8 finals. The Azerbaijani fencer lost with a score of 6:15 and finished her performance at the Olympics.
To note, only Anna Bashta represented the Azerbaijani national fencing team at the Summer Olympics in Paris.
