BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 31. Prospects for cooperation in the field of healthcare between Azerbaijan and South Korea have been reviewed during a meeting at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with representatives from Kyung Hee University, one of the top medical universities in South Korea, Trend reports via the ministry.
Welcoming the guests, Azerbaijani Minister of Health Teymur Musayev highlighted the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Korea and noted the vast potential for developing cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare.
"The Republic of Korea has a well-developed healthcare system.
The development of digital technology, an essential component of
healthcare of the future, is the top goal for this sector around
the world. Healthcare expenses may be kept stable while
digitalization guarantees both accessibility and high-quality
services.
There can be no progress in digital medicine without the
involvement of the state. We are intrigued by researching how the
Korean healthcare system was structured," he said.
The minister expressed confidence that the successful development of bilateral cooperation was on the cards.
Noting the high hospitality of the Azerbaijani people, representatives of Kyung Hee University emphasized that such gatherings are like gold mines for sharing experiences and knowledge.
They also showed a keen interest in joining forces with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the Kyung Hee University system is considered the cream of the crop in traditional Korean medicine and includes about 50 extra research institutes.
The parties deliberated possible areas of mutual cooperation throughout the meeting.
