BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 1. The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan has released the latest rankings for Azerbaijani athletes in Olympic sports, with Hidayat Heydarov leading the list, Trend reports via Idman.biz.
The latest ranking for August reveals changes in the top three positions.
Judoka Hidayat Heydarov, the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics winner, leads the ranking with 600 points. The rhythmic gymnastics team holds second place with 510 points, followed by gymnast Nikita Simonov in third place with 430 points.
The ranking points are calculated according to the Ministry of Youth and Sports rules. International competitions are categorized into five levels, with points awarded based on the athlete's placement within these events.
