BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Amphibious aircraft of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to assist in efforts to combat forest fires in Türkiye, according to a statement from the ministry's press service, Trend reports.
The BE-200 amphibious aircraft from the ministry's aviation detachment, sent to Türkiye on the orders of President Ilham Aliyev to aid in the fight against severe forest fires, remains actively involved in firefighting operations.
The aircraft is currently taking part in efforts to extinguish fires in the Izmir-Bergama region.
Firefighting efforts are ongoing.
